Scholarship Opportunities

There are numerous scholarship opportunities available to hockey players across British Columbia, offering financial support to help further both your academic and athletic pursuits. Each of the associations listed below has its own specific set of application requirements, selection criteria, and submission deadlines, so it's important to carefully review the details for each. Whether you're continuing your hockey journey or focusing on your education, these scholarships provide valuable resources to help you succeed. Richmond Ravens Scholarships

Four (4) scholarships of $1,000 each

Eligibility:

  • Graduating from Grade 12 in 2026
  • Currently playing for the Richmond Ravens
  • Demonstrated achievements in:
    • Volunteer work with the Richmond Ravens
    • Community and/or school service
    • Good academic standing

How to Apply:

Complete the application form and email the supporting documents below to Jana Mathers
before the deadline:

  • A personal letter describing your community involvement and future plans
  • Letter of recommendation from your school principal, counselor, or teacher
  • Copy of your high school transcript

The Patti Martin Outstanding Community Leadership Award

One (1) $2,000 Scholarship

This award is given to a player who exemplifies outstanding leadership and community involvement. Leadership is more than just participation—it’s about taking initiative, showing commitment, and making a meaningful impact.

Candidates should apply if they:

  • Are in good academic standing
  • Hold key leadership roles
  • Participate in a variety of activities
  • Take initiative and go above and beyond expectations
  • Demonstrate involvement in school, their team, the Association, and the community
  • Show long-term commitment and engagement

How to Apply:

  • Three letters of reference
  • A personal letter describing your community involvement and future plans

PCAHA Scholarships

2026 PCAHA Scholarship Tournament

The upcoming 2026 PCAHA Scholarship Tournament is taking place March 9-15, 2026.

    • To be eligible to participate, players must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2026;
    • must be registered on a team in the PCAHA Female U18 division;
    • and must meet sportsmanship requirements.

The Tournament will consist of a four team single round-robin with a 3rd place game and championship final game, for a total of eight (8) games.

 

2026 PCAHA Scholarships & Bursaries

PCAHA also awards a number of scholarships and bursaries each year to players in the PCAHA U18 or U21 divisions, or currently registered as a referee or team official but eligible to be registered as a player in the PCAHA U18 or U21 divisions.

  • Submission deadline: March 31, 2026

BC Hockey Scholarships

  • Each year, there are multiple BC Hockey scholarships available, ranging from $500-$2,000.  Scholarship application details are not yet updated but players should check their site often.
  • Open to Grade 12 students.
  • Submission deadline: TBD
